Goal

The goal of this project was to develop print materials for an Alberta Health Services program that provides streamlined care to families affected by trauma. The program connects patients' support systems and allows them to collaborate and create customized healthcare plans.

Solution

To achieve this goal, the project team conducted research with providers and patients to gain a better understanding of their needs and develop user-friendly design pieces. The resulting materials were developed in collaboration with Alberta Health Services physicians and the AHS Design Lab team and were designed to provide clear steps, timelines, and people involved in the program. The materials supported the project to win the Healthcare Excellence Canada Priority Health Innovation Challenger Booster Award, which granted the project $10,000 to increase its potential impact and support its long-term success.
